The Native American Bar Association of Arizona is pleased to present "Perspectives from the Hill: The Evolution of Federal Indian Policy," a panel discussion about the changing political trends in the Congress over the past twenty years and the impact on Federal Indian Law and Policy from the perspective of current and former Congressional staffers. The panel will include  Professor Eric Eberhard, Seattle University School of Law and former Staff Director and Chief Counsel to the Senate Committee on Indian Affairs under Senator John McCain (R-AZ),  Tadd Johnson,  Legislative Director for the Mille Lacs Band of Chippewa and former Staff Director of the House Subcommittee of Native American Affairs under Congressman George Miller (D-CA), and Allison Binney (invited), the current Staff Director and Chief Counsel of the Senate Committee on Indian Affairs under Senator Byron Dorgan (D-ND).  The panel will be moderated by Steven Heeley, Policy Consultant, Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer and Feld LLP and a former Staff Director and Chief Counsel to the Senate Committee on Indian Affairs during the 104th Congress.
