We have worked on a variety of issues that further our organizational mission to advance and improve the practice of Indian law as well as promoting the professional growth of our members.  Some of our activities have included partnering with the Indian law section of the State Bar to get Indian law included as a topic for the Arizona Bar Exam, working with the Diversity Task Force within the State Bar, serving as moot court judges for the National NALSA Moot Court Competition, and establishing relationships with our sister bar organizations.

As we turn our attention to next year, we want NABA AZ to flourish in a manner that benefits our membership and accomplishes our goal to advance the practice of Indian law in Arizona.

Organizational Status

NABA AZ is a nonprofit organization incorporated under the laws of the State of Arizona, and we are currently seeking 501 (c)3 status.  Our Articles of Incorporation were approved in September 2007.  We are grateful to Javier Ramos for his guidance and assistance in this effort.

We will also seek 501(c)6 status after we have completed the 501(c)3 process.
